Thousands entered the S. Pellegrino talent search for young chefs and Mike Tweedie, Head Chef at The Oak Room in the newly refurbished Adare Manor has qualified as one of 21 global semi-finalists. Mike is presenting Duncannon Lobster, ravioli of scallop, lobster and basil with lightly spiced lobster bisque.
From now until December, all the semi-finalists will complete in local challenges. Each region will have a jury composed of independent chefs who will judge each signature dish. The UK and Ireland challenge will be held in London at the Waitrose Cookery School on October 4th.
At the end of December, 21 young chefs from around the world will be announced and the final stop will be the ultimate occasion, the opportunity to cook on the international platform of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 Grand Finale in Milan, where a top jury will crown the “Best Young Chef” in the world.
