Redefining Superb Italian Cuisine in Limerick for 26 Years – Hugh & Caroline tell their story.

Bella Italia – Opens 2nd Restaurant in Limerick

Fratello & Sorella translated means brother and sister in Italian. We are a successful brother and sister run business for over 26 years. Bella Italia’s early inspiration came from our father Hugh senior. Over many years our father collected a treasure trove of favourite, secret Italian recipes that were eagerly tried and appreciated at home. This in turn inspired Hugh seniors daughter Caroline, to go on to classically train as a chef in Sardinia. This is where Italian cuisine became her real passion. Caroline’s daughter, Clara, is now an integral part of the latest chapter. Clara can be regularly seen running front-of-house. Here at Bella Italia we know that Italian cuisine starts with family. Its simplicity allows quality ingredients to speak for themselves. Bella Italia’s strength can be attributed to unfailing family and loyal customer support over the years.

We wish to tell you the history of our restaurant because it has defined who we are and also how we have come about. Our success has come from hard work and proper attention to detail. We want our customers to experience the history of where Bella Italia came from and how we redefine Italian cuisine in Limerick. So do call in or alternatively make a reservation to come and experience what we have to offer.

We have recently added a new chapter to Our story. We have opened a second Unit in Castletroy, Co. Limerick. Which is near and dear to our hearts, it is where we grew up and so in that sense it is like a ‘homecoming for us’. Our newest venture is a smaller more casual Bella Italia than our city centre unit, but with all the favourites from the original Bella Italia. We hope you love our newest venture as much as we do.

We hope to see you soon. From our family to yours, buon appetito
